The Fascination of Temporary Ponds

The Fascination of Temporary Ponds

Mediterranean Temporary Ponds are one of Europe's most remarkable freshwater habitats with great ecological value. The Southwest Coast hosts unique specimens, including rare species, some of which endangered, making them a priority habitat for conservation. It is believed that the greatest threat these ponds face is lack of knowledge about their ecology. Through a guided tour, the activity aims to introduce you to some examples of this fascinating habitat.

This activity is facilitated by Cristina Baião.
